In this digital world when everything is free specially music it better to do it right other way your hard work can be ruin in a few second.
I just experiment that yesterday. Our video Mandela day has been removed by vimeo without telling me and any warning, in place of the video we had this lovely message “Vimeo has removed or disabled access to the following material as a result of a third-party notification by Kirbyko Music LLC claiming that this material is infringing: Mandela Day »
Both music used in our project has been licensed via the web site gettyimages Musique.
After asking Vimeo what’s going on and what to do they reply quickly what to do and who to contact.
I thought it would take ever to solve the problem so I emailed directly to the artist and his music agent who ask vimeo to shut down the video including in the email the contract for gettyimage.
What a surprise a few hour later I get an email fro the agent let me know that they were their mistakes and tell me that Vimeo will put back the video soon.
I must say the vimeo staff was extremely efficient

As an image lover holding a print it’s something special. When I started to be a pro photographer I spent nights and nights in the heat of a dark room printing my black and white photography. Time has changed tool are different from negative film to 4k redcode raw. I really love the texture of still image pull for the red footage, and those days I had finally some time to calibrate and working with some good paper and the result is just amazing.
My digital dark room is composed by
Screen : Eizo ch243 calibrate by Eye one display device
Print : Canon Pro 9500 mark II
Paper : Hahnemühle Fine art Baryta with profile icc
Also I am really happy to share finally the English version of my first climbing video and with great athlete Fred Moix we will definitely produce some more episode this year for the Swiss TV.

Several weeks ago I got an email for the Nimia® crew that they would be interesting to license some of my work after a look of their platform and seeing that big name like brainfarm and poorboyz production are already on board, I decided to join them. I really believe with the growing of 4k televisions they will have a lack of 4k native content.

Until today I was very septic about 4k TV. My fisrt “4k watching experience” was at Best Buy in San Fransisco last august, it was too sharp, to much contrast and to saturate it was just to much information from my eyes and not pleasant to watch.
I change my mind radically a week ago when I stopped by an electronic shop in my hometown. I asked if they started to sell 4k TV screen, they got only one and the shop owner show me some landscape footage provide by the tv company I was very impress it was like 3d without glasses, I ask him if I could come back with my own 4k footage to watch at their 4k screen.
So I export my climbing movie with Fred Moix “ Mandela day”. To export in 4k it’s took 5hours and half for a 5 minutes videos and it’s a 3gigas file.
I was really really really blow away by what I saw as an image lover, the quality is truly amazing, that’s real 3D, and you have to watch to really believe it, it was an amazing experience and I really think video’s future is in 4k.
To see really the difference between HD and Ultra HD you must watch a video shoot natively in 4k not an hd movie upscale in 4k
Tech spec I just copy the file on a USB3 hard drive and we plug in on the 4k TV screen and all was good
“ Mandela day” will be soon to be release on my vimeo channel
